Hey y'all..
Sorry for the no postings.. This past Friday, I received notice that my position with AT&T has been put at risk. What does that mean?? It means I have 60 days to find another position within the company or hit the exit door on 12.29! (Merry Christmas!) There are a flood of emotions as you can imagine - I have been an employee 19 years, marketing, events, and managing the executive briefing centers across the AT&T footprint. I am optimistic of any new opportunity within the company or external. So .. if you could all give me a second to take a breath, keep me in your thoughts .. I will back to myself in a few days..
Hugs to all..

Hi Valarie,
My goodness, I know how you must be feeling. The cut backs and lay offs here in Calif have been devastating to many. My husband is having to lay off a few fellows and its troubling him so, he feels just as bad as they do. Praying things will get better and you find another position.
I also work for a large company and so far we have been o.k., but you just never know.
Big hugs,
Elizabeth
My thoughts are with you. I too work for same company and like many walk on eggshells. Keep positive thoughts and know the grass is always greener on the other side.
So sorry to hear this Valerie. You are a smart and talented lady. I'm sure something will work out. Remember, a positive attitude is everything!
Hugs,
Dawn
Valarie,

Valerie...so sorry to hear that...I'm sure you will find the right answer soon....we're here for you...
Oh gosh, every where we turn someone is losing their job. I hate that you've been with AT&T that long and your job is still in danger. We have friends who work for the same and they've been very uneasy. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear this! What a shock this must have been & I can't even begin to imagine the feelings you're going through! I wish I could reach through the computer & give you a big hug! Please try not to get discouraged! Sometimes what seems so devastating can be the start of something new & exciting! My prayer is that you will find an even better job than the one you had! Hang in there, pray, and always dream big!!! Something better will come along!
Hi Valerie:
I hope that you are able to find another position within the company. That's a long time to be with one employer. I hope they appreciate your loyalty.
I'm sorry about your situation. We have had 3 layoffs at my place of employment in the last year. Strange thing is AT&T is our biggest client. Good luck on your job search.
Valerie,
I lost my last 2 jobs due to the companies closing. I have not been able to find a job in over a year. I would have never dreamed I would still not be working. I am 51 and find myself up against all these young college graduates- and guess who wins!!! I have now seen many in my position! Some days I get really frustrated (mad).
My husbands company is having lay offs and shut downs here in East Texas!
Best of Luck & will be following your blog.
Oh- I stopped at the stores in Athens Saturday that you have shared with us on your blog!
Like you said, take a deep breath, then go right back out there.
I love your positve outlook.
Prayers are going up for you.
Oh my how very stressful this must be for you..... I am sure the Lord has a new adventure just waiting for you.....
