I have always wanted a tree for our bedroom.... Recently this tree was left behind in a vacant home, so I brought home to give new life! 

For you that follow my blog know my home for the most part my home is black, white with splashes of red- So it only seemed fitting to put this little jewel in our bedroom-

love the unexpected...

It's been crazy week, running non stop, had a huge toy drive at one of my listings this past Sunday, a closing yesterday, a closing today... and I have been fighting off strep.  I do not have time to be sick!! It's Christmas!! I have packages to wrap, cookies to make, tickets to the Nutcracker with my GRANDson and a school function to attend...  

    LOML said "Merry Christmas" .... a Christmas present early! Helping me simplify my life! 

awww.. he even had it engraved!! Love this man!

oh my... I'm still here...

What a week!!

new fabulous listing in the historic district (will share soon) and getting ready for a fabulous closing tomorrow!

Plus.... my baby brother had a little scare with the heart so had to run down to Tyler and get Mom and bring her back up to the Dallas area for a few days then return her back to East Texas. Let's just say a lot of windshield time this week! Good news is everything turned out fine.. thanks to the great folks at Baylor Heart & Vascular.

Back to finishing my garland...  (shooting with a old camera so pics aren't the greatest!) Bear with me while my Rebel is being repaired-

Still have to add all the sugar berry springs in the garland.. almost done!

Today....

This is the first year I have started my Christmas decor this early -- with all the festivities and a few trips we have planned I thought I better get a head start. 

I dug out all the Christmas garland today and gave them life with new ribbon.  This year I am using a Santa theme on the front & side entrance.  My GRANDbabies love Santa and so do I!!

house is quiet......

ALL the kids are back with friends, the grandsons are playing new games and not calling Mimi, Tim is paddling at the lake seeking solitude from all the Christmas frenzy! I thought while all was calm I would start taking down the Christmas tree..
My favorite part...  wrapping the memories of ornaments back in the tissue and boxes and store for next year.

*** edited to add 3 hours later, all decor down, Christmas tree down, and LOML is on his way home ... It was cold & raining out today, so I made a fabulous roast for LOML. A nice quiet day at home... much accomplished!! Whew.... I need a COKE ZERO! ***

Tree is up!!

Tree is up!! This is my family tree... full of ornaments over the years... I never grow tired of it! 

On the shelf.. Santa's given to me over the years by friends.. Many more around the house! 

I love this Santa ornament... 

Santa riding a turtle.. This was the year that my grandson was on a turtle love .... Everything was turtles.. I buy ornaments for the kids and grandson's every year based on what they are loving at the moment!
