Last planting for the summer.....

Well at least that is what I told LOML!! Working on a bed in the back entrance. I bought 2 huge boxes of seeds in the spring, hoping that this bed would look like the photo on the seed box! NOT!! The only flowers that bloomed were 5 HUGE sunflowers. Not quite the english garden I had envisioned! So - being the kind & patient man LOML is -in the 101 degree heat today ("we") he replanted. Filled with potato vine, coleus, and fountain grass.

Hope your day was fun!

Tour of Jon's apartment~

Sharing a photo of Jon-Eric's new space. This old dresser/night stand, the old books, the black candle sticks, he bought at a flea market in Ft Worth. The lamp is a Goodwill find, re-junktified and painted black with a new shade from Target. Silver trays courtesy of Mom. The mirror over the dresser/night stand I bought at Goodwill, painted black, the side wall is a trio of family photo's, and underneath is his college degree framed! (I hung that.. it was in his closet!!) The mirror's are the Goodwill find that I had blogged about before.. underneath is a trio of old luggage - looks nice in person. I would have shown you the entire bedroom however it is a bachelor pad, bed not made etc.. The bed is an old pencil post pine I bought in 1987, had in storage - painted it black roughed up the edges a bit. Looks great and of course he has black bedding. Very masculine. Notice the couch.. just like mine. We bought that couch at Goodwill still had the tags on it.. was a blue & yellow floral beauty, had it reupholstered. His entire apartment red & black. Wonder where he gets that?

The black mirror he found at a flea market, the cone shaped planter holding the red geranium was gold, I painted black, another Goodwill find. Shelf courtesy of Goodwill, candle sticks from Tuesday Morning, candles from Dollar Tree. The black trio holding the 3 candles, I believe that once was a hot item from HOME INTERIOR! Painted black.. pretty cute now!

Hope you enjoyed the little tour of my son's bachelor pad!

When you meet Gloria in person ask her how the name of Winnie & Tulula's became her storefront. You will love Gloria! AND oh my gosh the bedding & slip covers are magnificent! and look all I found..

I hope you enjoyed the tour! I am a little behind on the Father's Day luncheon... and the kids are on the way! Later .. HUGS .. I MISSED YOU ALL!

ROCKIN C RANCH.. A DAY IN THE COUNTRY!

Can I be a kid again?? Seriously.. Rockin C Ranch ROCKS! it is a fully operational working ranch.. a few of the campers chores will include gathering eggs, building fences, feeding the goats, and milking cows! The fun things include a zip line across the lake, eating like a King for 3 Southern cooked meals a day, making new friendships, and best of all teaching of the BIble daily!
When you enter the gates to Rockin C Ranch you are greeted at the gate with these young cowboys on horses, fields of horses, beautiful pine trees, and great camp counselors. I wanted to share a few of the photo's!

If you have not selected a camp for kids this summer.. I highly recommend!

My Saturday!

Look what I found at trades day! I only bought one thing.. found many things... but only brought one thing home!
Found this old chippy white column- loved it! The ivy sitting atop of it is in a old silver ice bucket.. (found at a garage sale few years back) -

Tonight is "date date" with LOML, so we opted to stay in.. I made this homemade pizza- Very easy to make - Use Mama Marys thin pizza crust, brush crust with extra virgin olive oil, use your favorite tomato sauce, add fresh basil, then about 2 handfuls of grated American & Mozarella cheese, top with green olives, purple onion, bell pepper and mushrooms, sprinkled with lots of black pepper and a dash of garlic salt.
Then you must have a cold beer in a frosty mug. Blue Moon beer is very light and best when served up with an orange slice! Very refreshing!
Enjoy!

Graduation - One day away!!

As you all know that follow my blog.. Last one in the nest is graduating tomorrow! I wanted to share a few of the things I made for the bash tomorrow!! Of course, you also know if you follow my blog Jonathan is Arkansas Bound! So, it was only fitting that all my decor be "HOG WILD!" I took paint buckets, applied University of Arkansas stickers, red-white check ribbon, black white check ribbon, and stuffed with red tissue paper, popped in a red Gerber daisy... There you have it!

Also, this is a collage. It does not do it justice (click photo to see large) - I have made these for all the kids, they love them. Very easy to make and such a great walk down memory lane - I did shed a few tears while making this one!
On the way out the door to run errands.. chat later! Can someone send a Kleenex?
