asking for HelP!!

Okay.. I know you all find this hard to believe since I am never at a loss for words or decorating tips... I am at a complete brain lock on how to decorate this little vintage Shasta. What is throwing me off is the aqua! I have always decorated black, white and splashes of red...  and this is such a small small space.. 89 sq feet to be exact.   I was thinking aqua splatter ware hanging underneath the cabinets... (although have not located yet!)  Maybe vintage souvenirs Texas things.. like an old state fair pennants.. (have spotted one thus far!)  Thought about bringing in my silver pieces for a table arrangement full of herbs, or something for the day of the event... What would you do and where??  Here is the deal... I am about to go to my first sister on the fly event and I think she needs a bit of vintage & cowgirl bling!  I am totally open to any suggestions... Hugs! Valarie
Need something underneath the cabinet!!
Need something above the windows and ledge!
Help me!!

from what i have seen with sisters on the fly, you have to go all out! i love the vintage Texas idea. I have seen some cute vintage kitchenware in aqua and red you could use some of that either as planters or accents up over the cabinets ( it looks like you can put something up there, can you?) Cowboy/Texas stuff isn't hard to find here at our antique stores....of course that is when you are not looking for it, when you go looking for something it is always harder to find! Old boots, like in kids size, they look cute. bandanas of course. belt buckles, horse shoes, black and white photos of horses or longhorns! SIlver anything. Flowers in pops of yellow might look good with your colors. love the pennant idea......oh i wish i had a Shasta!! Have fun girl!!

I'd go all out red. Lots of stuff. The pops of aqua would look great against all the red accessories.

Souvenir State plates above the cabinets...preferably Texas, but any and all would bring in your colors. How about a towel rack under the cabinets with folded State tablecloths? Maybe even vintage maps from the gas stations.
Lots and lots of boots on the shelves turned backwards of course. Tooled leather handbags would look great too, plus they could be used for small storage. Throw caution to the wind and have a ball!

Your shasta is darling and looks like so much fun. As for color pop I can see multi colors of vintage Fiesta ware both for table settings and wall racks! There you have both aqua and red mixed with some other colors as well. So many pieces to utilize. Also, the red spatterware would make a bold splash. I can see red spatterware teapot-coffee pot on the stove accenting the red check curtains. Love red and aqua together. It will be cute any way you go! Have fun!

How much fun this would be! I'd go with lots of color! I'd decorate the cabinets with subtle color, maybe something in each corner. Fiesta Wear or something similar that would travel well would be so cute! Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Hey girl, I have a funky quilt with aqua, red and white....I will bring it to Diggin' It tomorrow. It may work with the pennants and tejas memorabilia. The cowgirll stuff sounds fun too. I'll rack my brain and search my inventory for you!!!! Diggin' you and your little Shasta!!!

How about a collection of cowgirl hats? Or old records from the fifties or old c/w records or c/w sheet music. State fair posters? Posters from big cities in tx. there are a few ideas be interested to see what you come up with

Oh it's so cute!! Aqua and red are so great together. I'd gather up as much old enamel kitchenware as I could find in white with red trim. Use it for flowers and to hold utensils and napkins and everything. I'd use plenty of white to brighten up and red accents.

Aqua & Red is very vintage!!!!
I would totally go to some antique shops and get some cute linens, dishes, etc...
