It was time....

Making changes around the blue cottage... 

I had the same living room furniture for 6 years... I was over it.. I wanted to take it up a notch and the love of my life loves the Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware look... 

SO here is what I had before.... 

And here is the after ... It is a work in progress!  We just had furniture delivered so be kind I realize I have alot of fluff to do... 

On the hunt for colorful pillows, maybe burlap pillows or feedsack linen pillows, new lamps, floor lamp and a perfect rug to soften it up a bit. Black leather is hard to decorate around.. Love the smell of leather.. Smells heavenly in living area!! Comments & suggestions welcome... 

My camera is out so the new pictures of living taken with iphone aren't the best..

Crazy Times... A good crazy!!

Hey friends!  

Thank your for the e-mail and text. I am fine, my family is fine. The year started off with a bang and days just got away from me and this blog that I love. I wanted to let you know you can always find me here and here...  If you ever need me! 

Life at the Blue Cottage is undergoing some changes the last few months. 

We started off with a new roof.... 

We started the paint job the first weekend in December.... What were we thinking??

As you can see here we ripped out all the landscaping.... So looking forward to SPRING!! 

Replaced all rotten boards and painted the garage and the office to Outback Therapy this past weekend! This paint job has been a major undertaking.. at times i wish I had a brick home!

AND .. in the midst of all the holidays, the work we are having done at the Blue Cottage... Grandson is undergoing some tests @Childrens Hospital... Keep us in your prayers...

Happy New Year!!

2012 was a fabulous year!! We had bends in the road but overall we are all healthy and happy!

The love of my life and I are working on our bucket list of items and hope to mark off more of those this year... What do you want to do this year? Lose 20 pounds or kayak down the Oregon river, snow shoe in Washington state? More glamping trips with the girls? 

As far as a career goal - I am working on growing my real estate business & will be starting my 3rd year in just a few days. 2012 was a blessing, I sold over 22 homes. A day at Neiman Marcus!

The girls have a family tradition... I have lost count how many years we have done this.... Every year for Christmas we take my Mama to the Zodiac Room at Neiman Marcus for a "fancy luncheon" as my GRANDson calls it.

The GRANDson got to drop in for lunch - a few years back he was out of school on the day we went and we did a trail with him.. He loved, really LOVED IT! Last year he didn't get to go and this year he said " I AM GOING TO THE FANCY LUNCH" ..  We love having him around ... Obviously he was loving the toy section!!
